Snow Angels Program -

Winters in our region are beautiful! We love our snow covered trees, sitting cozily in front of fireplace and sipping hot chocolate. What we do not love however are the chores that come with snow.
Snow covered sidewalks can be hazardous to pedestrians, students walking to the bus stop and the essential and emergency service workers.
Some of our older residents and residents with disabilities are unable to clean their driveways and sidewalks. Snow Angels program, coordinated by Pine Township Youth Council, provides assistance to these members of the community by scheduling volunteers to remove snow from their driveways and sidewalks.

Snow angels program is a fun way to give back to our community and earn some volunteer hours. Sign up online by filling the form below. You will be contacted when there is a need in your vicinity.

Volunteer information -
​You will be contacted via email when there is a snow event and your help is needed.
You must acknowledge the assignment and inform us if, for some reason, you won't be able to fulfill your task.
You must complete the clean up in 24 hours.
Let us know if you are willing to do multiple properties, if they are all close by, on the same day.
Supplies will be provided unless otherwise noted in the email.
If you need volunteer hours for school, indicate it in the form.

Request help -
If you are unable to clean your driveway and sidewalk and would like assistance of a Snow Angel to make access around your property safe fill out the request help form below.
Before you proceed make sure you are eligible for the assistance. You must be a resident of Pine Township and your property must be within the township limits. If the answer to any of these questions yes, you are eligible:

Q1. Are you over 60 years of age?
Q2. Do you have a physical condition that prevents you from cleaning snow yourself?
Q3. Are you short on financial and physical resources and unable to get help from a family member/friend or neighbor?

Be aware -
Snow Angels program requests help from High School students. If students are not signed up, you might not get assistance. You will be notified either way.
Please indicate if there is an urgency but you should know that our volunteers have 24 hours to provide assistance.
Provide details of your property on the form, such as steep driveway or if it is too big or any other situation a volunteer should be aware of.
If you have supplies such as snow blower, salt, shovel leave it outside for the volunteer.
